... a T-Rex 700L would fit in the fuse, here are some pics:
The answer is: it fits, except the swashplate anti-rotation bracket (I hate this thing!) that needs to go through the fairing to do the job. In the beginning, I was afraid that the swashplate servos of the DFC would interfere with the top cover, but this is not the case.
So, a T-Rex 700L would do the job with a couple of workarounds. Of course, all the above are based on the hypothesis that you will use the plywood frame that comes with the kit from Vario to mount the T-Rex frame in the fuselage. Otherwise, if you make your own mount then you could lower the frame 1 cm or so in a way that the bracket doesn't interfere anymore with the fairing.
Don't forget that the 700 needs to get a tail stretch to fit the length of the fuse's tail . You would need the 800 tail stretch kit + a small handmade extension to get the length right (see the pdf document on the right panel regarding the mechanics).
